Pretty Flowers & Places to Sit | Samantha

Hello there followers, readers, and visitors!

Have I got a treat for you today. Last week, I rather spontaneously asked my friend Sam if she would be willing to model for me, and she agreed to! Knowing that it was last minute and not having the largest time frame in the world, I asked if we could do it in her backyard, if there were “pretty flowers and places to sit.” Sam replied by saying her backyard did not consist of these two things; however, her sweet mother suggested a trip to the breathtaking Descanso Gardens, and it was settled!

Upon arriving, we were a bit discouraged, as the place was packed for the Cherry Blossom Festival, but we did not turn around. With gorgeous lighting, a beautiful subject, and a wonderful location, this shoot has been one of my favorites. May I present to you, Samantha Siegal.

Hello fellow Tumblrians and readers!
I apologize for my lack of blogging, as I have been incredibly busy. A lot has happened over the past two months, such as my birthday (yes, I am now 4). I have been itching to hold my camera, and do a shoot for so long, but school work has been piling up in front of my eyes.

However, it is now spring break for me, so I will hopefully be posting some new photos, as well as starting a new stop motion project. I cannot wait!

Love,
Caroline Louise

Wide Eyes and Giggles

When I did a house shoot of 3 sisters, I was not prepared for the utter joy it gave me. These little girls are just darling, and I have the privilege of babysitting them, as well as being able to photograph them this one time.

They are young, sweet, and joyful. They have welcomed their new baby sister into the world. They have imagination, and parents that display God’s love for them.

I loved doing this shoot because it reminded me so much of childhood and how carefree it is. But more importantly, it displayed how truly beautiful family is. I love capturing moments like kisses and hugs, laughter and goofy faces. It’s just lovely to me. So may I present to you, Abby, Hannah, and Chloe.

The eldest, Abby

The middle child, Hannah (who is drawing away in this picture)

And baby Chloe! :)

A Velvet Chair in an Ordinary Street

What are two girls supposed to do, when they scheduled a photo shoot, but have no ride to their desired destination? This was the very problem that arose when I arrived at Makayla’s to take pictures of her and Jenna. We were losing precious daylight, so I had to quickly brainstorm an idea. I spotted a velvet chair with white studs in Makayla’s room, and I had a vision: a stylized shoot in the middle of the street. It was perfect! Out-of-the-ordinary and spontaneous…a style I had yet to depict in my photography. These two ladies got dressed up in “high-fashion” attire and we all ventured out onto the worn black top, avoiding cars and neighbors’ curious glances. Here is the fabulously chic outcome!

The gorgeous Makayla! \

The beautiful Jenna!

I had so much fun with you ladies!
Much love,

Caroline Louise
